How every figure gets here

Every number we publish is cited to its source SEC filing. Not paraphrased from news coverage, not remembered by a model — extracted from the regulatory document a company actually filed, with a verbatim quote behind it.

Facts are governed by code, not by a model

Before a piece is drafted, we build a factual package from the filing. Each fact must pass two mechanical checks: its supporting quote must appear verbatim in the filing text, and the figure must appear inside that quote. Facts that fail either check are dropped. Derived figures (like growth percentages) are computed by code with the formula recorded, never estimated by an AI model.

The writer can only use verified facts

The drafting model sees only the verified factual package — not the open internet, not its own memory of a company. Its draft is then screened by code: every published number must resolve against the verified set, every claim must cite the facts it relies on, and sensitive allegations are rejected unless the filing itself supports them. Analyst-style interpretation is labeled as such (“Analyst view”) so you can always tell a filing fact from an inference.

A human approves every piece

After the automated screens, each piece goes through adversarial review and is read and approved by a person before publication. The approval is recorded against a cryptographic hash of the exact approved text — what you read is byte-for-byte what was approved. Nothing publishes without that record.

What this does not mean

This process is built to catch fabricated numbers and unsupported claims, and we publish how it works precisely so you can hold us to it. It does not make us infallible: filings can be restated, extraction can miss context, and judgment calls can age badly. When we find an error, we correct the piece and say so. Nothing here is investment advice.
